Indian army opens unprovoked fire at Sialkot sector checkpost

SIALKOT: Indian Border Security Forces’ (BSF) personnel Sunday opened unprovoked fire on a Pakistani Rangers’ checkpost in the Sialkot sector.

Pakistan Rangers resorted to retaliatory firing. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.

Following the attack, Rangers called for investigations to be launched.

According to military sources, the exchange of fire continued for a few hours, but no loss of life was reported.

Earlier on August 6, India accused Pakistani troops of involvement over an attack on an army post in the disputed Kashmir region in which five of its soldiers were killed.

The five were killed late Monday night on August 6 at an outpost some 200 kilometres south of Srinagar, Indian officials said.

The Pakistan army however denied responsibility.

The Foreign Office rejected allegations of Pakistan’s involvement as “baseless and unfounded”, saying the country was committed to its ceasefire promises and wanted to resume peace talks with India soon.

Meanwhile, the Directors General Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India on August 7 spoke over the hotline on the situation on the LoC, a UN-monitored de facto border dividing Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

Pakistan’s DGMO Major General Ashfaq Nadeem strongly denied that Pakistani troops were involved in the killing of five Indian soldiers, adding that the accusations levelled against the country’s soldiers were without foundation and utterly baseless, sources said.

Major General Nadeem moreover told his Indian counterpart that Pakistan wholeheartedly respected the ceasefire agreement with India.

On August 8, Pakistani military officials said Indian troops opened fire and seriously wounded a male civilian along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir.

  1. The truth has only one color. Facts are just facts which can not be changed by perception or spin.

5 Indian army men were killed few days back on Indian – Pakistan border, who were patrolling the border within Indian soil, well inside the LOC. And this has been done few months after another shameful attach on the LOC wherein two Indian soldiers were killed and their head brutally chopped off, one was taken home by those who murdered them as some kind of trophy. I am sure aliens didn’t came in their spaceship to do these ghastly acts. Pakistani Army/ border security guards are not so incompetent to allow anyone to cross over to kill someone on the other side and return back silently. Yes they were not much of use during the Zero Dark Thirty operation but that was western border and this is eastern border.

Its in-human, its barbaric to say the least. Even when we fight with our enemies, no religion in the world asks its follower to carry out such ghastly acts.

The truth of this matter is India and Pakistan are neighboring countries and they will continue to be the same no matter what happens. India/Pakistan can not move to to some other continent just because Indian/Pakistanis do not like each other or do not want to face each other. We can not build walls around out borders and stop the air/ clouds/ sun rays/ birds from travelling from one country to another. Yes we can stop the animals – literal animals and some those who live in human form, by putting conditions, security etc. The only way we can prosper is by living peacefully, Live and let the others Live – that should be the motto of all of us. No matter what religion we may follow, it is the basic tenet, live a peaceful live, love others.

I know when I will point it out to you that the ceasefire agreement has been broken by pakistani forces, you would could the pakistani media to prove otherwise, therefore I will not even attempt that. Just suggest you to read some some more, from neutral observers, see all the different point of views.

Like Iqbal said, Hindi hain ham watan hai hindustan hamara. Yunan-o-Misr-o-Roma Sab Mit Gaye Jahan Se Ab Tak Magar Hai Baki Naam-o-Nishan Hamara Kuchh Baat Hai Ke Hasti Mit’ti Nahin Hamari. India is not going anywhere, it has faced worst enemies, 100s of years of occupation by foreign powers, yet we have survived, and we will survive all kinds of terrors. The question is who is gaining by these evil deeds?

Please have an open mind, read as much as you and decide for yourself as to what is right and what is wrong.

    Warm Regards,
